The scientific basis for the research of fake news and pseudoscientific views

Differentiating between science and pseudoscience or fake news and real news is not an easy task either in theory or in practice. It is our goal to create a method that can serve as the basis for identifying pseudoscientific views and fake news building on the perspective of scientific reasoning established by the p-model (Kertész és Rákosi 2012/2019, 2022). We place particular emphasis on developing a new model that addresses faulty reasoning, the examination of relativism, the differences in methods of reasoning between science and pseudoscience, and the showcasing of errors in the reasoning of pseudoscientific communications.
